About Mother Goose Christian School

Clothing and Supplies

Parents of toddlers (1 – 2 years – Tender Times) must provide an adequate supply of diapers and wipes for any child not yet toilet trained. Parents should also provide tow complete changes of clothing. In summer, additional appropriate seasonal clothing is required.

Parents of 6 weeks – 4 years should provide a change of clothing. In summer, additional seasonable clothing is required.

Please label all of your child’s clothing to avoid confusion and dress children in play clothes suitable for the weather. Recognize that when children play, they get dirty. Please provide us with one set of extra clothes in the even a change is required.

Please, no jellies or sandals. For their protection, kids need rubber soled shoes or sneakers. Remember, they love to run, jump and climb. (No boots, please!)

We enjoy helping your child become more independent. One training opportunity is potty time. If your child comes dressed in an outfit that zips or buttons down the back or with a belt, it can be frustrating. We enjoy seeing those big smiles and confident looks that say, “I did it by myself!”

At our North Jackson and Ridgewood locations, children ages 2-4 years wear uniforms each day matching with comfortable shoes. Uniforms can be purchased at Park Uniform Store in Ridgeland. Children will be sent back home with their parents if they bring them to school out of uniform. No boots are allowed! No shoes with wheels are allowed!

Regular play clothes may be worn by all children during the summer.

Crafts

Almost everything your child does during the day represents a learning experience. The act of making a craft is such an experience. We enjoy making crafts with your child. Sometimes he/she will bring home artwork or crafts. At other times, the “finished product will be saved as part of a larger project or posted on the classroom wall. We encourage you to engage your child in discussion about their crafts. It’s a fun way to bond and it’s fun to remake the projects at home.
